JooinMusic is a local music player. This policy explains how we handle information related to the app. We do not offer account registration or sign-in, do not integrate advertising or third-party analytics, and do not use your information for cross-app tracking.
1. What Information We Process
Information stored only on your device
- Audio files you import or transfer over the local network (including mp3, flac, wav, m4a, aac, and similar formats), as well as file names and paths.
- Artist and other metadata read from audio tags.
- Track lists, favorites, playback modes, and theme settings.
- Lyrics text and cover images cached for display.
This content is stored in the app sandbox and local preferences. We have no server-side accounts and cannot remotely access your library.
Information that leaves the device
After you import tracks, the app may query NetEase Cloud Music public APIs (music.163.com) using the song title and artist name to fetch lyrics and covers. Queries contain only the title and artist, not your name, phone number, advertising identifier, or precise location. Cover images are downloaded into local cache.
Local network transfer
When you enable Wi-Fi transfer, the app temporarily starts a receiving service on the same local network and uses Bonjour so computers can discover the phone. This uses your local network address. Transferred files are written only to the phone and are not uploaded to our servers.
2. How We Use This Information
- Play, manage, and favorite the music you import, including lock-screen and background playback.
- Display covers, lyrics, and themes.
- Complete local-network file transfers.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or user profiling.
3. System Permissions
On iOS, the app may request:
- Local Network: used only to transfer music from a computer to the phone on the same Wi-Fi. You may deny this; playback and local import still work, and only local-network transfer is unavailable.
- Background Audio: used to keep playback going on the lock screen or when you switch apps. This is a system playback capability, not location or microphone access.
The app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, or tracking permissions. When you choose files, the system file picker is used, and we only read the audio you select.

That service has its own privacy policy. We do not control how it handles these queries. The app does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not integrate analytics SDKs.
5. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Your library, cover cache, and settings remain on your device until you delete the related tracks, clear app data, or uninstall the app. After uninstall, the system deletes files and settings in the app sandbox. We have no cloud copy to delete.
6. Children
This app is intended for general users. It is not directed at children under 4, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
7. Security
Audio and settings are stored in the app sandbox provided by the operating system. Local-network transfer runs only when you enable it, and only on the same Wi-Fi network. Do not enable transfer on networks you do not trust.
8. Your Rights
You can delete your on-device library, lyrics, covers, and settings by deleting tracks or uninstalling the app. For questions about this policy, contact stellar.studio@hotmail.com.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this policy. Updated text will be published at the same URL, with a revised effective date. If our processing practices change materially, we will provide notice in the app or on this page.
